All banners shall be designed to be compatible with all major Web browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Chrome, Mozilla Firefox andSafari. It shall be the sole responsibility and obligation of the advertiser, for the compatibility of the banner, to know the nature and operation of WWW browsers. All target URLs submitted by the advertiser are required to be valid. Any banners with invalid URLs will be removed from the Appraisal Institute's Web site. Advertisers will not be allowed to exclusively feature competitive browsers.

Banner Submissions


Submit banners directly to advertising@appraisalinstitute.org in a GIF format. Please include the following information:

  1. Uniform Resource Locator (URL) link

  2. ALT text tag line

  3. Live dates

  4. Company name, contact information (e-mail, phone, fax) and name/description of product or service

  5. For changes to existing orders please include a description of all changes.

Advertising Policies


Advertisements will not be accepted from individual appraisers (including Appraisal Institute members) promoting their appraisal practice; from appraisal firms; or from other appraisal or real estate organizations, publishers, product manufacturers, or education providers that offer programs, products and/or services similar to those offered by the Appraisal Institute.

Indemnity

The Appraisal Institute reserves the right to hold advertisers and/or its advertising agency jointly and severly liable for such monies as are due and payable to the publisher.

Conflicting Insertion

Conflicting insertion and/or material instructions are the liability of the firm placing the order.

Legal policies

All advertisements will be subject to review by the Appraisal Institute's Legal Department. The cost of any such review will be incurred by the Appraisal Institute.

The Appraisal Institute reserves the right to reject any advertisement and the right to cancel the advertising program without notice.

Advertisers and their agencies will indemnify and hold harmless the Appraisal Institute, its officers and agents against all expenses and losses resulting from the publication of the contents of the advertisement, including claims for libel, violation of privacy, copyright infringement or plagiarism.

The Appraisal Institute shall not be liable for any failure to print, publish or circulate the advertisement due to acts of God, acts of government, strikes or other circumstances beyond its control.

The Appraisal Institute name, logo and designations may not be used or displayed nor may testimonials by current Appraisal Institute leadership be used in advertisements to endorse non-Appraisal Institute products or services, unless the Appraisal Institute has specifically contracted with a particular advertiser to promote or endorse a product or service apart from the purposes of the advertising program.

With the permission of the Appraisal Institute, excerpts from reviews published in Appraisal Institute periodicals may be used in advertisements to promote a product or service, but may not give the impression that the Appraisal Institute endorses said product or service, unless the Appraisal Institute has specifically contracted with a particular advertiser to promote or endorse a product or service apart from the purposes of the advertising program.

The Appraisal Institute will not provide telephone support (e.g., answer questions about products, services, companies, etc.), telephone endorsements (e.g., provide a positive review of a product or service or recommend any product or service) or take orders for products or services advertised on this site.
