Adomatis_SandraSandra K. Adomatis, SRA, LEED GA, appraiser, Adomatis Appraisal Service

Sandra K. Adomatis, SRA, LEED GA, appraiser, Adomatis Appraisal Service Sandra Adomatis, SRA, is a real estate appraiser, instructor, course developer and author, publishing Residential Green Valuation Tools with the Appraisal Institute last year. She spearheaded the development of AI's Residential and Commercial Green and Energy-Efficient addendums. Adomatis is a national speaker on the valuation of green features, having addressed such events as GreenBuild, the National Association of Home Builders' International Builders' Show, the Energy & Environmental Building Alliance Conference, the American Concrete Institute and the White House Conference Center. In July 2013, she received the Appraisal Institute President's Award, and in August 2012, she received the Dr. William N. Kinnard Jr. Education Award from the AI Education Trust Foundation.

Troy C. Alley Jr., MAI, CRA, CEO, Con-Real, LP

Troy Alley Jr., MAI, is the chief operating officer of Con-Real, a construction services firm in Arlington, Texas, where he oversees all real estate activities. Under his direction, the firm became the first African-American-owned firm to perform major leasing and management services for Prudential Realty and Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company in the southwest U.S. The firm has been nationally recognized in market/feasibility studies and other real estate consultant services.

Alley has more than 30 years' experience involving real estate evaluations and feasibility studies. He is experienced in testifying for acquisitions, and is qualified as an expert witness on the valuation of real property. He also is a member of the Texas Association of Realtors and serves as a Texas real estate commissioner. He has completed advanced studies in real estate development at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is the publisher of the South Trinity Investor newsletter, a publication related to real estate investments.

Amorin_JimJim Amorin, MAI, SRA, AI-GRS, SR/WA, CDEI, vice president, Atrium Real Estate Services

Jim Amorin, MAI, SRA, AI-GRS, is the 2015 vice president of the Appraisal Institute and served as the 2013-14 chair of AI's Strategic Planning Committee. He has been actively involved in the areas of admissions, education, ethics and counseling, and served in various chapter, regional and national leadership positions.

Amorin, who is vice president of Atrium Real Estate Services in Austin, Texas, is a reviewer, developer and national instructor for multiple AI seminars, courses and webinars. He also was chair of the Appraisal Institute's Relief Foundation and a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Appraisal Foundation.

He currently belongs to the International Right of Way Association.

He has twice testified before Congress and has presented to the United Nations on real estate issues.

He holds degrees in finance and real estate and urban land development from the University of Texas.

Linda Atkinson, MAI, managing director of Real Estate Practice at CBIZ Valuation Group in St. Louis, has more than 25 years' experience in real estate consulting and valuation analysis for commercial and special-use properties. She has completed engagements for estate and gift tax planning; property acquisition and disposition; property tax litigation; condemnation; financing; purchase price allocation for tax and financial reporting; and internal business planning in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Europe and Canada. She also is experienced in providing expert witness testimony.


Baker_Joel Joel Baker, director of training, a la mode, inc.

Joel Baker is the director of training for software firm a la mode, where he has provided technology, efficiency and marketing instruction to appraisers for more than a decade. He connects with thousands of users each year through webinars, trade shows and in-person workshops, and has created more than 200 appraiser training videos on topics ranging from form-filling tips, sketching and Uniform Appraisal Dataset and Uniform Mortgage Data Program compliance.

Baker is an approved online instructor by the International Distance Education Certification Center, and is approved by the Appraiser Qualifications Board to teach UAD compliance for appraisers.

Benton_CraigCraig Benton, MAI, AI-GRS, director, Valuation Services, Synovus Bank

Craig Benton, MAI, AI-GRS, is the director of valuation services at Synovus Bank in Columbus, Ga. He previously spent 16 years as a fee appraiser for his own firm, Benton Advisory Group, and was a vice president at CB Richard Ellis where he specialized in commercial retail appraisal.

Benton has served on multiple Appraisal Institute chapter committees and currently is president of the Atlanta Chapter. In 2008, he chaired AI's Leadership Development and Advisory Council.  He holds a B.A. in history from Syracuse University.


Bokoske_KevinC. Kevin Bokoske, MAI, AI-GRS, AI-RRS, R.E. due diligence officer, Broward County Real Property Section

Kevin Bokoske, MAI, AI-GRS, AI-RRS, has been the real estate due diligence officer for Broward County, Florida, since 2004. His responsibilities include appraising and consulting on real estate matters involving acquisitions, sales and leases for Broward County, including two county-owned airports and the Port Everglades seaport. He also assigns and reviews commercial and residential appraisal tasks to private-sector fee appraisers, as well as Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessment studies, boundary surveys, title searches and mitigation studies.

He was 2002 president of the Appraisal Institute's Memphis-Tennessee Chapter, and he served on education committees at both the chapter and national levels, as a regional representative, an experience screener, and a reviewer for The Appraisal Journal. He is a state-certified general appraiser in Florida and Tennessee, and is an Appraisal Qualifications Board-certified instructor for the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.

Bokoske has taught Appraisal Institute classes, developed seminars on appraising in the public sector and on logistics, authored articles for the International Association of Assessing Officers and presented at regional and national IAAO conferences.

Bowyer_ZachZach T. Bowyer, MAI, managing director, seniors housing practice leader, CBRE

Zach Bowyer, MAI, is a Boston-based managing director for CBRE Valuation & Advisory Services and national practice leader for the firm's Seniors Housing Group - a sector he has specialized in 10 years and for which he completed more than $20 billion in aggregate assignments throughout the U.S.

He has presented on senior housing for the Appraisal Institute, the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, SeniorCare Investor and the Massachusetts Board of Assessors, and has published numerous studies on the topic. He also has been engaged for numerous litigation assignments and has testified as an expert witness.

Bowyer serves on the Board of Directors and the Government Relations Committee for AI's Massachusetts and Rhode Island Chapter. He also is a member of the Urban Land Institute's National Seniors Housing Council.

He is a graduate of the University of Florida, holding a degree in business finance and food and resource economics.

Brian Brown is an economist at Urban Economics, a real estate advisory firm in Tampa, Florida. His research interests include real estate economics and econometric applications in real estate.

He has a B.S. in economics from Florida State University and an M.A. in economics from the University of South Florida.

Dan Butturini, principal and senior analyst/broker at Sterner Consulting/DMB Environmental Consulting in Sarasota, Florida, has more than 20 years' experience in the environmental sector where he has been involved with the negotiation and closing of more than 40 transactions in the Environmental Sector.

For the past 12 years he has specialized in mergers and acquisitions, providing buy-and-sell-side advice to clients in the private equity, banking, solid, liquid, hazardous waste and waste brokerage industries. Engagements have focused on strategic planning, merger & acquisition, market analysis, valuation and financial planning and analysis.

Butturini has provided expert witness testimony for several high-profile cases, including a federal predatory pricing lawsuit, and has provided financial and operational consulting services to clients in bankruptcy proceedings.

Carciere_RonRon Carciere, MAI, SGA, president, Golf Course Appraisal, Inc.

Ron Carciere, MAI, is the principal owner of Golf Course Appraisal, a national golf valuation firm in Auburn, California, and a partner in the golf property-consulting firm, Golf Market Advisors.He has been a practicing appraiser for nearly 40 years, and has been involved in valuation and consulting on several hundred golf properties throughout the U.S. over the past 25 years. Carciere is a qualified expert witness in federal and state courts on issues involving golf property valuation and analysis, and is a frequent speaker at golf industry conferences, addressing such topics as valuation, operations, golf industry trends and golf course property tax issues. He also was an instructor for the Society of Real Estate Appraisers and the Appraisal Institute, having taught more than 50 courses during the past 12 years.

Peter Christensen, J.D., general counsel, LIA Administrators & Insurance Services

Peter Christensen is an attorney and has served as the general counsel of Santa Barbara, Califonria-based LIA Administrators and Insurance Services since 2006. LIA provides professional liability insurance to individual appraisers, appraisal firms and other valuation-related businesses.

He previously was employed as senior counsel at Irell & Manella LLP and as an associate attorney at Latham & Watkins LLP.

Christensen received a B.S. in business administration from the Haas School of Business, U.C. Berkeley, and received his J.D. from the Boalt Hall School of Law, U.C. Berkeley.

John Cirincione, SRA, CRE, FRICS, chief appraiser, senior vice president, Collateral Analytics

John Cirincione, SRA, is chief appraiser and senior vice president for Honolulu-based Collateral Analytics, a firm that develops real estate analytic products and tools to support appraisers, financial institutions, institutional and retail investors. Previously, he was director of valuation and advisory services for JVI Solutions in Orlando, Florida, and served as the residential chief appraiser for KeyBank-Secolink Settlement Services in Cleveland.

Cirincione is a state-certified general real estate appraiser and also holds a certification for ISO 8000-110 Master Data Quality Manager and is licensed by the Electronic Code Commerce Management Association.

Sherrie Cleavenger, senior product manager, Marshall & Swift

Sherrie Clevenger, senior product manager at analytics firm Marshall & Swift, is an expert in the valuation of manufactured homes as personal property or real estate. She has authored articles, spoken at trade shows and created workshops for valuation professionals on this market niche.




Sloan Coleman, director, 7(a) Program Branch, U.S. Small Business Administration

Sloan Coleman works in the Small Business Administration 7(a) Program Branch, where he helps develop policy for SBA lenders utilizing the 7a loan guarantee program through the agency's Standard Operating Procedures. His experience with SBA lending requirements includes going concern appraisals of special-purpose properties found in SOP 50-10.



Crosson_StephenStephen T. Crosson, MAI, SRA, principal, Real Capital Solutions

Stephen Crosson, MAI, SRA, is a principal at Real Capital Solutions based in Carmel, California. He has been a valuation professional for 45 years, and his focus is in expert real estate litigation. Clients are from both the public sector (U.S. Department of Justice, cities and counties and property tax authorities) and the private sector (lenders, institutional and private investors, developers and partnership investors). He has testified in federal, state and commissioners' courts. He is a certified real estate appraiser in several states.
Crosson is the board chair and editor-in-chief of The Appraisal Journal, published by the Appraisal Institute. He also serves on AI's Publications Review Committee, and was a contributor to the 14th edition of The Appraisal of Real Estate. He currently is working on the next edition of The Dictionary of Real Estate Appraisal, which will be published by AI.

Darin Dalbom, MAI, managing director, Integra Realty Resources

Darin Dalbom, MAI, is the managing director of Integra Realty Resources in Oklahoma City. His valuation experience includes seven years with a boutique appraisal firm where he concentrated on the valuation of nationwide pension-owned assets. He credits his background in institutional property valuation with helping to shape his expertise in such property types as specialty medical buildings, wholesale container nurseries and communications towers. He is a graduate of the Texas A&M University's Land Economics and Real Estate program.
