Celebrating 30 Years of Service: Harriet Kudlacik

Congratulations to Harriet Kudlacik! She celebrates her 30th anniversary at the Appraisal Institute this year.

What positions have you held at the Appraisal Institute?
Harriet:  I have worked mostly in the Admissions/Membership Services area. My previous positions included Experience Coordinator and Senior Experience Coordinator. Currently, I am an Administrative Assistant for Chapter/Region Services.

What accomplishments are you most proud of?
Harriet:  Surviving the unification of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and the Society of Real Estate Appraisers and merging both of our offices and staff into one location back in 1991. The second, which happened more recently, would be joining a newly created department of the Appraisal Institute, Chapter Services, and learning about the ins and outs of chapter life from the headquarter's viewpoint.

What do you enjoy most about working for the Appraisal Institute?
Harriet:  I would have to say my co-workers and Appraisal Institute members. I have been lucky with the people I work with, who have helped me throughout the years to do my job in serving our membership and in my current position, helping our chapters.

The members I have been privileged to meet over the years have always been helpful and vital to implementing the changes that allow the Appraisal Institute to continue to grow and prosper.

Do you have a "fondest AI memory"? If so, please share.
Harriet:  It would have to be the summer my son worked at the Appraisal Institute, putting our file room in order. Of course, he pretended he didn’t know me, but I was a proud mother nonetheless.
