Who can become an Affiliate?
Those interested in property economics who do not provide any Service(s) as defined by the Code of Professional Ethics (CPE). Affiliates share in the interests and concerns of the appraisal profession but do not provide Service(s) as defined by the Code of Professional Ethics.
What are Affiliate fees?
National fees are $215 per year, and are prorated for those joining between February and November. Those joining after November are charged the full fee rate for the upcoming year.
Local chapter fees vary, please refer to the Affiliate application.
What is a Student Affiliate?
College students who want to jumpstart their career by joining the Appraisal Institute. Student Affiliates join at a significant discount. Student Affiliates do not provide services as defined by the Code of Professional Ethics (appraisal, appraisal review, mass appraisal or any services provided as a valuer).
To be eligible to enter AI as a Student Affiliate, you must be enrolled in six (6) or more credit semester hours in a college degree program related to real estate appraisal, finance, and/or economics at the time of application. When you apply you must provide proof (course schedule, college confirmation, etc.) via upload, of your current enrollment at the time you submit an application and also provide proof of your student status on an annual basis.
What are Student Affiliate fees?
Fees are $50 per year and are prorated for those joining between February and November. Those joining after November are charged the full fee rate for the upcoming year.
