by Monday, January 16, 2012.
All panelists and workshop organizers will be expected to define the proposed program's
focus, and gather and review panelist submissions and presentations. Organizers
also will be expected to attend their entire panel or workshop, and will be comped
one day’s registration for the 2012 Annual Meeting. While no travel expenses will
be provided, the AI Annual Meeting is a great opportunity to advance new ideas,
solve vexing problems and advance cutting-edge solutions.
Panel Preferences
Panels should consist of 3-4 speakers, and a chair and should last for approximatelytwo
hours. Each panelist will deliver a presentation or remarks, and approximately 30
minutes should be left for audience Q&A. Panel topics may include policy issues,
industry problems or challenges, client needs, or highlight opportunities for the
profession.
Your submission should include the following:
- Panel Title
- Panel Abstract (max. 300 words)
- Names of speakers and chair, including affiliations, position and e-mail address
- Abstract for each speaker’s remarks (max. 300 words)
Workshop Preferences
Workshops provide a platform for presenting novel ideas in a less formal
and possiblymore focused way than the conference itself. The format for each workshop
will be determined by the organizers, but it is expected that workshops will contain
ample time for general discussion and engagement by all participants — not just
those presenting papers. Workshops that foster interaction, discussion, collaboration
and group problem-solving are especially encouraged.
Workshops length may be for as little as two hours or as long as seven hours.
Your submission should include the following:
- Workshop Title
- Workshop Abstract (max. 300 words)
- Names of workshop participants, including affiliations, position, ande-mail addresses
- Abstract of the goals and expected outcomes of the workshop (max. 300 words).
