About the Authors
Arthur E. Gimmy, MAI, is president of Arthur Gimmy International, a national real estate appraisal and consulting firm. He has taught extensively and is the author of two other books published by the Appraisal Institute: Senior Housing: Looking Toward the Third Millennium and The Business of Show Business: The Valuation of Movie Theaters. Mr. Gimmy frequently serves as an expert witness, testifying in litigation involving complex appraisal issues.
Buddie A. Johnson is director of the golf division at Arthur Gimmy International. He has been a development consultant for the National Golf Foundation and had his own development company for many years, overseeing the planning, financing, construction, and operation of mixed-use real estate projects.
