Description
TREND WATCH 2008 examines commercial real estate trends in the Baltimore/Washington region. It sheds valuable light on the transitional nature of the current real estate market, which has been so negatively affected by the subprime mortgage crisis and nervous capital markets. The study will provide a better understanding of the expectations of 120 local industry leaders in development, management, appraisal, consulting, finance, brokerage, investment sales, law, construction, architecture, and the public sector who are coping with today’s volatile market conditions. TREND WATCH 2008 also provides insights into what will be tomorrow's issues for the region's commercial real estate market including privatization of infrastructure, mixed-use development challenges, apportionment of operating costs, building standards, green certification, BRAC, housing affordability, slots, life sciences, the 2008 election, and foreign investment. The program begins at 4:00 pm, with networking and a cash bar at 6:00 pm, and dinner at 6:45.
