The exam is taken offline at a Pearson testing center.
To accommodate students across the United States, class begins each morning at 8:00AM Pacific time (9:00AM Mountain, 10:00AM Central, 11:00AM Eastern). Each class runs for four (4) hours each day with at least two breaks during that time. The course runs for eight (8) half-days over two weeks as follows.

The Appraisal Institute issues certificates for state certification/licensing or state continuing education credit that verify successful completion and attendance of 100% with your grade notification letter. Please note, if Appraisal Institute attendance records indicate attendance of less than 100%, the student certificate will reflect this and state agencies may refuse to award credit.

Official start date of the program is when the online session begins. It is mandatory that this session be completed. The first two hours introduce you to and prepare you for the synchronous sessions that follow. If it is not
completed, you will not receive credit for or pass the course.

Continuing Education Credit
This course is approved for thirty-five (35) hours of Appraisal Institute continuing education credit. This course might not be approved in all states by the offering date. Please check with your state board for state approval
information. It is not a substitute for any of the other required Certified General courses. It is not a substitute for the prerequisite General Appraiser
Market Analysis & Highest and Best Use course.
Completing this advanced education course satisfies the Advanced Continuing Education (ACE) requirement for an MAI, SRPA, SREA, RM, or SRA Designated Member, general or residential Candidate for Designation and general or residential
Practicing Affiliates. This course may not be repeated in any subsequent continuing education cycle unless it has been substantially revised, as determined by the Admissions and Designation Qualifications Committee.
