Appraising for Alternate Uses: Life Beyond Lending

If you would like to broaden your appraisal client base by decreasing your dependency on mortgage-lending work and increasing your competency when appraising non-lending uses such as, marriage dissolution, estate planning, seller pre-listing, buyer pre-purchase, tax assessment appeal, this seminar is for you.

The intent of this seminar is to better enable you to:
• Identify and solve varied appraisal problems
• Recognize how different intended uses affect the scope of work decision
• Develop disclosure statements regarding intended use and intended user
• Eliminate unnecessary data gathering, analysis and reporting
• Tailor your scope of work to the specific assignment
• Realize why the URAR form is not suitable for non-lending work
• Utilize alternate reporting formats such as the new Appraisal Institute Reports the ACI GPAR (General Purpose Appraisal Report)
• Properly employ the Restricted Use Appraisal Report option
• Determine the best reporting option for a given intended use and intended user

In addition, case studies are used to provide illustrations of various reports and reporting formats under different intended uses and intended users.

Attendance: The Appraisal Institute enforces attendance requirements mandated by state licensing and certification regulatory agencies. The Appraisal Institute issues certificates for state certification or state continuing education credit that verify successful completion and attendance of 100% with your course grade notification letter; 100% attendance is required at seminars to receive continuing education credit.

Directions From Downtown Orlando Take Interstate 4 East for approximately 7 miles. Exit at #92, Route 436, and take a left off the exit ramp. At the second traffic light, (at the Walgreens) take a left on to Wymore Road. We are 1/2 mile on the right.

From Walt Disney World Resorts & Lake Buena Vista Take Interstate 4 East for approximately 22 miles. Exit at #92, Route 436, and take a left off the exit ramp. At the second traffic light, (at the Walgreens) take a left on to Wymore Road. We are 1/2 mile on the right.

From The Orlando Convention Center Take Interstate 4 East for approximately 17 miles. Exit at #92, Route 436, and take a left off the exit ramp. At the second traffic light, (at the Walgreens) take a left on to Wymore Road. We are 1/2 mile on the right.

From Kissimmee Take Interstate 4 East for approximately 25 miles. Exit at #92, Route 436, and take a left off the exit ramp. At the second traffic light, (at the Walgreens) take a left on to Wymore Road. We are 1/2 mile on the right.

From Orlando International Airport Take tollroad 528 West to Interstate 4 East. Exit at #92, Route 436, and take a left off the exit ramp. At the second traffic light, (at the Walgreens) take a left on to Wymore Road. We are 1/2 mile on the right.

From Cocoa Beach / Titusville Take 528 West until you reach Interstate 4. Take I-4 East. Exit at #92, Route 436, and take a left off the exit ramp. At the second traffic light, (at the Walgreens) take a left on to Wymore Road. We are 1/2 mile on the right.

From Daytona Beach, Lake Mary, Sanford Take I-4 West and exit at #92, Route 436, and take a right off the exit ramp. Get in the far left lane, and take an immediate left, (at the Walgreens) on to Wymore Road. We are 1/2 mile on the right.

From Apopka, Tavares, Mt. Dora Take Route 441 until you reach Route 436. Go east on Route 436 for approximately 7 miles. Take your last right before you cross over Interstate 4 (at the Walgreens) on to Wymore Road. We are 1/2 mile on the right.

From Winter Garden, Windermere, Ocoee Take 417 Toll Road East to Interstate 4. Take Interstate 4 East for approximately 7 miles. Exit at #92, Route 436, and take a left off the exit ramp. At the second traffic light, (at the Walgreens) take a left on to Wymore Road. We are 1/2 mile on the right.
