  Description
TOPIC:
Good graphs enhance the professional appearance of a report or an exhibit for court. A good graph conveys information at an intuitive level in recognizable patterns, much like the hands of an analog watch tell the time at a glance. A table or grid, on the other hand, is like a digital watch and must be studied or read in order to extract its information. Modern downloadable data bases and computer software make it quick and easy to prepare these graphs. This presentation looks at the types of graphs, the reasons for their use, the techniques for producing them from masses of data, and the statistical theory and practical considerations to be addressed in their preparation and interpretation.

SPEAKER:
Before beginning his 30+ year career in real estate consultation and appraisal, Rik Neustein had been a rocket scientist and engineer, working in such fields as cryogenics, the Space Program, medical electronics and computer software development. In 1972, he released one of the earliest software packages for real estate appraisers.
His appraisal practice is primarily involved in the forensic arena, evaluating the value effects of situations such as contamination, title questions, encroachments, easements, geotechnical factors, leases and ground leases, landfills, eminent domain and inverse condemnation, fire, flood, view, habitat, use restrictions, etc.
