The Appraisal Foundation approval for the course content in this course will expire at the end 2009. In order to receive credit for the course from the Appraisal Institute or from any state, you MUST complete the course before midnight central time on
December 31, 2009

After this deadline, you will be required to complete the 2010-2011 version of the course. Please note that at this time, the 2010-2011 version of the course is not yet offered online. The course will not be offered online until later in 2010.
Overview:
This 2008 USPAP update course, copyrighted by The Appraisal Foundation, focuses on recent changes to USPAP requirements for ethical behavior and competent performance by appraisers. The course, which clarifies several commonly misunderstood aspects of USPAP, will aid appraisers in all areas of appraisal practice seeking updated competency in USPAP, including those subject to state licensing or certification and continuing education requirements imposed by professional organizations, client groups, or employers.
The course material emphasizes the role of the appraiser and the appraiser's impartiality associate with this role. The special responsibilities of the appraiser with regard to impartiality are explored in detail. In addition to lectures, the course includes Discussion Examples that show how USPAP applies to situations that appraisers as professionals in the appraisal of real property, personal property, and businesses or intangible assets, in appraisal review, and in real property appraisal consulting assignments.

As part of your membership in the Appraisal Institute, in addition to the reduced class tuition, you are eligible to obtain one copy of USPAP each year. Students may enroll in an optional Package which includes a printed, bound edition of USPAP delivered within 7 days after enrolling in the class. Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to complete a seminar once it begins, you may cancel out of the seminar before the official seminar end date. Once you cancel out of a seminar, however, you must start the seminar over at the beginning in any later enrollments. You cannot be placed into the seminar where you left off before canceling.
The following tuition refund policy is in effect for canceled online seminars based on the amount of material completed in a seminar:
Less than 25% of the seminar completed: full tuition refund
More than 25% of the seminar completed: no tuition refund
Transfer Policy
If you wish to transfer a registration from one seminar to another, the following transfer policy applies based on the amount of material completed in a seminar:
Less than 25% of original seminar completed: transfer allowed
More than 25% of original seminar completed: no transfer allowed
If you transfer from a lower priced seminar to a higher priced seminar, you will be responsible for paying the difference using the automated online system. If you transfer from a higher priced seminar to a lower priced seminar, an appropriate tuition refund will be issued.

I further understand that if I am a member of the Appraisal Institute and participated in any misrepresentation of identity, by affirmative act or failure to act, that I will be the subject of a peer review proceeding under Regulation No. 6 for violation of the Appraisal Institute's Code of Professional Ethics and Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice, and that such peer review proceeding may result in termination of my Appraisal Institute membership.

For online education, you will receive an email from the instructor on the morning of the session start date that will remind you of your login information and the website address to begin your program.
