For those states that approve online qualifying education, students can now take all 75-hours of education online to become an appraiser trainee.

The 75 hours of required education includes three online courses: Basic Appraisal Principles, Basic Appraisal Procedures, and the 15-hour National USPAP Online Equivalent Course.

How Online Appraiser Training Works

How Online Education Works

All of the Appraisal Institute online courses and seminars are self-paced.

  • You can register and begin your class any time after the class start date and before the class end date.
  • Login to My Appraisal Institute to learn from anywhere -- work or home.
  • You can go as rapidly or as slowly as needed within a 30-day window.
  • You do not have to attend at scheduled times -- you work at your pace, not the instructor's pace.
  • You can work for one hour and then log off and come back three days later and work for another hour or two.
  • You can pick up your class right where you left off when you return.

Webinars Wanted

We are now accepting proposals for webinars to be presented during 2008. What is a webinar? It is 1-2 hour live educational presentation over the Internet. The presenter and listeners can be anywhere in the world. Here is a short example. Webinars are a great way to share your knowledge and expertise with the appraisal profession.

If you have an idea that you think would be of interest to other appraisers, please submit a proposal.
