Membership Opportunities
|

Membership is open to appraisal practitioners and individuals from allied fields. Practicing appraisers may join as Associate Members
and choose to work toward the MAI or SRA designations. Affiliate membership is open to individuals who are not performing work
governed by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice or International Valuation Standards, such as bankers, attorneys
and government agency representatives. All members have access to a variety of services and benefits, as well as a network of peers.
Designated Members participate in a continuing education program. Currently, the Appraisal Institute confers the MAI and the SRA
designations. Some members also may hold the SRPA designation. |

MAI: |
Members holding this designation are experienced in the valuation and consultancy of commercial,
industrial, residential and other property types, and advise clients on investment decisions. |

SRPA: |
This designation is held by members experienced in the valuation and consultancy of commercial,
industrial, residential and other property types. |

SRA: |
This designation is held by members experienced in the valuation of residential real property. |
