Norm recently left the University of San Diego where he was the Academic Director at the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate but retains the position of Distinguished Research Professor and as Editor of the Journal of Sustainable Real Estate. Previously he was at the University of Cincinnati where he was Academic Director and the founder of the real estate program. He received his Ph.D. from the Ohio State University. <br /><br /> Dr. Miller has numerous academic articles, books and articles in trade market publications on housing, brokerage, mortgage risk, valuation, sustainable real estate and many other topics. <br /><br /> His most recent book <em>Commercial Real Estate Analysis and Investment</em> with Geltner, Eicholtz and Clayton is in its second edition and is the leading graduate level textbook on a global basis. Dr. Miller has lectured globally and domestically from Singapore and Thailand to Russia. He has worked extensively with various trade associations and became one of the first <strong> Distinguished Fellows of NAIOP</strong> in 2002 as served as one of the primary instructors for NAIOP educational programs from 1998 through 2008. <br /><br /> He is currently a Homer Hoyt Land Use Institute Faculty and Board member, based in North Palm Beach Florida and the Editor of a new journal on sustainable real estate which he founded in 2009 (see <a href="http://www.josre.org">www.josre.org</a>) and on the research committees of PREA, the ULI and ICSC. <br /><br /><br /> <a href="/membership/UPAV_EventSchedule.aspx" target="_blank">Return to Schedule of Events</a> <img src="/images/li_arrow1.gif" alt="" width="3" height="6" /></div> </body> </html>
