He has received many major prizes and honors including; Honorary Doctorate, Technical University Delft, (Netherlands) Chevalier des Palmes Académiques (France) and the Irwin Sizer Award, for the Most Significant Contribution to MIT Education. He is also involved with many major agencies and projects throughout the world. <br /><br /> <strong>Michel-Alexandre Cardin</strong> has recently been focusing his career on the study of large-scale engineering systems operating under uncertainty. He is a doctoral candidate in the Engineering Systems Division at MIT.
