New Litigation Certificate of Completion Program Offered
In addition to the Valuation of Conservation Easements and Appraising Historic Preservation Easements certificate programs, the Appraisal Institute has developed a third certificate of completion program in Litigation. The new program provides participants with a certificate of completion and shows potential clients and employers that they have completed the program’s litigation curriculum and passed the examinations. Appraisal Institute designated members who successful complete the program will be placed on the Appraisal Institute’s Certificate Registry and will receive the Litigation Certificate.
Designated members may complete the program by choosing one of the two following options:
Option 1: Take the courses and pass the exams for
• The Appraiser as an Expert Witness: Preparation and Testimony (course 700)
• Litigation Appraising: Specialized Topics and Applications (course 705)
• Condemnation Appraising: Basic Principles & Applications (course 710-retired 1/1/09)
• Condemnation Appraising: Advanced Principles & Applications (course 720-retired 1/1/09)
Option 2: Take the courses and pass the exams for
• The Appraiser as an Expert Witness: Preparation and Testimony (course 700)
• Litigation Appraising: Specialized Topics and Applications (course 705)
• Condemnation Appraising: Principles & Applications (combines courses 710 & 720, premiered 1/28/09)
