The Appraisal Institute is currently seeking a Controller in our Finance Department. The Controller is responsible for financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, the annual audit and annual tax returns of the Association and all affiliated organizations, the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes, and the functions of general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash receipts, payroll, and dues processing. The Controller will also develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures to establish and maintain a strong internal control system to safeguard the assets of the Association and contribute to the effective operation of the organization.
We are seeking an individual of outstanding quality with a respected track record. Applicants should have 7-10 years experience in accounting; association experience strongly preferred. Strong preference for a candidate with a CPA. Master’s degree in accounting, business administration or finance a plus.
