Human Resources Business Partner

Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for administration of employee benefits and serves as an HR generalist for the HR department. The position develops, and installs, approved, new or modified plans and employee benefits and supervises administration of existing benefit plans.

Essential Functions:

  • Adminster employee benefit programs such as retirement plans; medical, dental, vision plans; life insurance plans; long-term and short-term disability;
  • Ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information;
  • Assists employees wih benefit claim issues and plan changes;
  • Provides new employee orientation and assists with coordinating staff training;
  • Handles benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution. 
  • Assists HR Director with administration of 457B, 401k, Section 125 Plans, HIPAA and EEO.
  • Serves as liasion to Employee Engagement Committee;

Required Education and Experience:

A bachelor's degree and three (3) to five (5) years of experience in benefits administration, OR

  1. Four (4) yas of experience as a human resource generalist with a concentration in benefits administration,
  2. At least two years of full cycle recruiting experience, OR
  3. Any appropriate combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)/PHR or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SPHR

Member and Chapter Services Specialist

Under the title, Professional Resources Specialist, this member services and chapter relations position provides day-to-day oversight and support around partnerships and member benefits programs, supports chapter services and oversees compliance with chapter reporting requirements, and provides support to the Appraisal Institute Insurance Trust. This individual will also provide superior customer service and participate in membership recruitment and retention initiatives.

Required Experience:

Provide day-to-day oversight and support around AI affinity partnerships and benefits programs. Possess an understanding of all contracts. Ensure execution of all deliverables.

  • Promote existing member benefits and affinity programs. Maintain calendar of promotional communications and update member benefits section of AI website.
  •  Provide support services to chapters and maintain knowledge of Minimum Chapter Criteria.  Oversee chapter compliance reporting process. Assist in maintaining and updating Chapter Business Tools section of AI website.
  • Provide assistance with Chapter FYI monthly chapter e-newsletter and other broadcast emails to chapters.
  • Provide assistance with planning and implementation of annual Chapter Leadership Program including oversight of the Chapter Awards Program.
  • Provide day-to-day service and administrative support to the Appraisal Institute Insurance Trust in coordination with the Senior Manager.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; Association experience preferred

Minimum 2 years membership, component relations or marketing experience is required; Experience working for member-based associations is preferred.
