INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR

The Information Technology Director provides overall leadership, strategy and management of all areas of IT including IT operations, web development and programming. The Director delivers high-quality technological solutions that enable the organization to meet its internal and external users and services needs efficiently and effectively. In addition, the Director collaborates with other senior staff to develop, execute, and monitor the organization’s annual business plan, budget, and strategic areas of focus. This position reports to the CFO.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop the organization’s long-range direction for using technologies that are aligned with the Institute’s strategy and business goals.
  • Champion change management to ensure the Institute is maximizing efficiencies through technology.
  • Direct the strategic design, acquisition, management and implementation of enterprise-wide technology infrastructure and communicate to impacted audiences.
  • Survey the technology landscape and developments to ensure the Institute takes advantage of innovation, industry trends, creativity and new solutions to technology challenges.
  • Communicate technology vision, strategy, opportunity, initiatives and risks to impacted audiences and acts as a technology advisor at all levels of the organization.
  • Create, monitor and adjust KPI’s to assess technological performance.
  • Supervise three staff members including programmer, end user developer and web developer.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Science, Programming or a related field; MBA or other graduate degree a plus, PMP certification a plus as is MCSE certification.
  • 10+ years of Information Technology systems experience and 5+years of progressive leadership/management experience preferred.
  • Experience using Association Management System software; NetForum experience beneficial.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate to staff, solicit feedback and encourage buy-in.
  • Knowledge of technical trends to build strategy and proven project management experience.
  • Proven RFP development experience, IT contract analysis and negotiation skills.

CHAPTER PROJECT STAFF ACCOUNTANT

The Chapter Project Staff Accountant is responsible for the successful financial/accounting onboarding and support of our chapters and regions. The Chapter Project Staff Accountant is the main point of contact with the chapters and regions in our Chapter Financial Management and Administration (CFMAP) program.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Executes all CFMAP program onboarding activities and set-up including vendor payment process, accounting system, import of prior general ledger transactions, establishment of bank and credit card accounts, coordination of cash and investment transfers and closing of bank accounts.
  • Assists in training chapters in all CFMAP systems and processes.
  • Assists as a point of contact to analyze and problem solve chapter and region accounting issues and financial report inquiries.
  • Supports the monthly CFMAP close and preparation of the yearly financial audit.
  • Leads annual activities including review and import of chapter/region budgets, completion of chapter Form 990’s, review of Chapter Minimum Criteria for non-CFMAP chapters, transition of CFMAP chapter authorized system users and analysis of chapter financial performance.
  • Assists with maintenance of CFMAP policies and Procedures manual.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with a strong understanding of accounting standards, experience in general accounting preferred.
  • Experience with intermediate level Excel, PowerPoint and Accounting software systems preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the desire to assist chapters via email or orally.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills commensurate with the ability to work independently with extreme accuracy.
  • Ability and desire to work as part of a customer focused team.

EDUCATION DELIVERY SPECIALIST

Are you task oriented or even a bit “detail obsessed”? If so, our Education Delivery Specialist may be a great fit for you!

The Education Delivery Specialist partners with our Education Delivery team to assist our instructors, chapter members and students in providing a stress free, efficient education experience. The Specialist responds to inquiries and resolves issues, provides relevant and timely information and maintains accurate records to support our education programs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Responds quickly and efficiently to verbal and written inquiries from instructors and members/students.
  • Utilizing the administration side of our online education system (netFORUM), assists chapters, instructors and members/students on their respective education portals.
  • Approves and enrolls members/students, grades and enters data, files (electronic and paper), arranges exam logistics, assists with material dissemination and submits rosters.
  • Understands, monitors and adheres to state certification and licensing requirements as well as Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB) rules.
  • Understands the Appraisal Institute’s policies and procedures in the areas of education delivery including instructors, state certification and national/special programs.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) plus 1-2 years’ experience in an education, customer support or administrative role (association experience preferred).
  • Proven customer service skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deadline driven and task oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively interact with staff, members/affiliates and clients.
  • Strong data entry/spreadsheet skills. Prior association management system experience preferred (netFORUM or other AMS system).
