Appraisal Institute Continues to Fight Unconscious Bias: Valuation Magazine

CHICAGO (April 27, 2021) – Bias, both unconscious and structural, present a wide-ranging, multifaceted challenge to the real estate industry and have deep historical roots, according to an article in Valuation magazine’s first quarter 2021 issue.
Valuation magazine is a quarterly publication of the Appraisal Institute, the nation’s largest professional association of real estate appraisers.
The newest issue’s cover story, “Root of the Matter,” discusses potential bias in the valuation profession and the Appraisal Institute’s commitment to being part of the solution.
