Appraisal Institute Heads to Charlotte for 2016 Annual Conference

February 23, 2016 08:00 AM

CHICAGO (Feb. 23, 2016) – The Appraisal Institute, the nation’s largest professional association of real estate appraisers, announced today that its 2016 Annual Conference will take place July 25-27 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Registration opens March 2.

“This year’s event is going to be terrific,” said Appraisal Institute President Scott Robinson, MAI, SRA, AI-GRS. “It continues to be one of the best events for real estate valuation professionals globally.”

The three-day event will feature hundreds of real estate professionals, dozens of informative speakers, more than 30 educational sessions (offering state and Appraisal Institute continuing education credit), exhibits of cutting-edge valuation products and services, an awards dinner, networking with peers and opportunities for exploring Charlotte.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Jack Uldrich, a best-selling author and global futurist focused on technology, change management and leadership. Uldrich, a former naval intelligence officer and U.S. Department of Defense official, argues that creativity and action are more powerful and versatile than knowledge. His work is based on the principles of “unlearning” and how freeing oneself from obsolete knowledge and assumptions can help one survive — and thrive — in an era of unparalleled change.

The 2016 Appraisal Institute Annual Conference will take place at the Sheraton Charlotte.

The Appraisal Institute has hosted the AI Annual Conference in its current form since 2011. It has held the event in Las Vegas; San Diego; Indianapolis; Austin, Texas; and Dallas, annually drawing up to nearly 500 attendees, nearly three dozen sponsors and exhibitors, and featuring renowned speakers discussing the most critical issues in real estate valuation.
