The Appraisal Institute is currently seeking a Web Content Specialist in our Marketing Department. The Web Content Specialist is responsible for organizing content and graphics in support of the Appraisal Institute’s website and e-mail marketing campaigns, monitoring web support issues, co-managing the AI Communities of Practice and other online initiatives. This position will be primarily responsible for updating and monitoring all web content; monitoring industry trends and implementing website enhancements; providing web support to chapters/members; and training the Appraisal Institute’s service center staff on new web functions.

Description:

Appraisal Institute’s website and e-mail marketing campaigns, monitoring web support issues, co-managing the AI Communities of Practice and other online initiatives. This position will be primarily responsible for updating and monitoring all web content; monitoring industry trends and implementing website enhancements; providing web support to chapters/members; and training the Appraisal Institute’s service center staff on new web functions.

Applicants should have 2-5 years of experience in digital marketing and communications media.

Job Responsibilities:

- Organize, review and implement all content update requests from Appraisal Institute staff. Write/edit website content (and other online marketing copywriting projects as assigned) in a consistent voice that matches the tone and message of all other AI communications. 

- Continually monitor the website in a proactive manner and coordinate updates with all AI departments; explore innovative ways to refresh and enhance the site on an ongoing basis and assist the Senior Manager, Marketing in determining priorities and shaping the website’s agenda.  

- Organize logistics with Senior Manager, Marketing as well as Information Technology, Graphics and other departments to implement large-scale web enhancements.

- Monitor all web support in-boxes and work with the IT Department to resolve all chapter/member web support issues in a timely manner.

- Create training materials and hold training sessions for AI service center staff when new functionality is added to the website.

- Co-manage the day-to-day operations of the AI Communities of Practice (CoP) with the Senior Manager, Marketing, conduct training sessions for new facilitators of the CoP, organize logistics for creating new communities and create promotional copy for CoP marketing initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

-Bachelor degree in Interactive Design, Multimedia Design or related field required.

-2+ years professional work experience.

-Proficiency in SEO marketing, e-mail, social marketing, web analytics, online retail

-Proficiency in  (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Opencms, WordPress, Adobe CS4
