Artificial Intelligence for Real Estate Appraisers: Practical Applications & Bias Mitigation
This two-hour program introduces licensed and certified real estate
appraisers to practical, compliant uses of modern artificial intelligence
(AI) tools in day-to-day appraisal practice. The course covers where AI can
responsibly assist with research, organization, writing, and quality
control; key limitations such as hallucinations; and privacy/confidentiality
considerations when handling client data. A dedicated section addresses risk
of bias—including how Large Language Models (LLMs) can inadvertently reflect
biased patterns—and outlines concrete safeguards for fair, unbiased analysis
and communication in alignment with professional standards and fair housing
principles.
