Course Description
This senior housing and nursing home appraisal seminar focuses on valuing these real estate-intensive going concerns and common methods for allocating that value between the real estate and the personal property assets. Get a greater understanding of how the ownership of these businesses is structured and how to match the property rights and assets value(s) necessary for financing, property tax, and business asset valuations.
You will learn: (1) about the certificate of need processes, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement; (2) how to research and apply market data to develop cost, sales comparison, and income capitalization approaches, and (3) about health care insurance and long-term care that will also be useful in your personal life.

Please cover all information except your full name and photo prior to sending to the Chapter. If you provided your driver’s license for a previous class, it is not necessary to resubmit.

New Mexico = 7 hours approval in process
Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board (TALCB) = 7 hours approval in process

ZOOM REQUIREMENTS:
This seminar will be offered via Zoom Virtual Classroom. Participants must have a computer or tablet with web camera, audio, microphone and reliable internet connection to participate and receive continuing education credit. The Zoom platform will be interactive and live. The instructor must be able to physically see and interact with all students, and students must be able to see and interact with the instructor throughout the class.
