The Appraisal Institute’s quarterly magazine is mailed to nearly 20,000 valuation professionals, while the digital edition is distributed to more than 36,000 individuals in the valuation profession. In 2012 and 2013 reader surveys, more than 86 percent of those surveyed found Valuation to be of high value, and more than 89 percent said that Valuation is “very essential,” “essential” or “somewhat essential” to their business or to them professionally. Valuation has been honored with international and national awards from the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals, Trade Association Business Publications International, the League of American Communications Professionals and the Awards for Publication Excellence.
The Appraisal Institute is a global professional association of real estate appraisers, with nearly 18,000 professionals in almost 50 countries throughout the world. They represent the best in their field, with 53 percent holding one or more of the Appraisal Institute’s prestigious designations, and 20 percent of those individuals having received multiple designations. AI valuation professionals also earn more money than those who do not belong to the Appraisal Institute (40 percent earn more than $100,000 per year), have more experience (56 percent have been in the profession for 20 years or more), and have a higher level of education (82 percent have at least a four-year college degree), according to internal surveys.
