    Course Description

This course provides commercial real estate appraisers with a practical, hands-on introduction

to artificial intelligence tools that can enhance appraisal workflows. Moving beyond the hype,

participants will learn to distinguish between what AI does well (data extraction, document

processing, quality control) and where human expertise remains essential (strategic

judgment, complex synthesis, client counseling). The course introduces the concept of the

"Age of Orchestration," where appraisers evolve from individual contributors performing every

task manually to strategic coordinators who delegate discrete tasks to AI while applying

professional judgment to validate and synthesize results.

Through live demonstrations of current AI tools including agentic web browsers, spreadsheet

integrations, and document processing capabilities, participants will see practical applications

for lease abstraction, income/expense analysis, research automation, and report quality

control. The course addresses critical risk management topics including AI hallucination and

the professional responsibility to verify all AI-generated output.
