Photo ID Required to Complete Your Registration
Please send a copy of your Driver's License or Photo ID to lisa@norcal-ai.org.  Feel free to cover any personal information with the exception of your photo and printed name. Quick Tip:  Cover personal information with cut-to-size Post-it-Notes or via electronic means before taking a photo with your phone or scanning.  Registrants will not be sent the ZOOM log-in link unless their DL/Photo ID is received in advance.  In the subject line of your email type "DL -  [enter your last name] PROC - Sept 2026" before submitting.  ID's should be submitted to the Chapter Office  lisa@norcal-ai.org immediately upon completing this online registration.

Program Hours, Materials and Course Exam
Online check-in will begin at 5:00pm (Pacific Time) on Tuesday, September 29.

Instruction will run from 5:30pm – 9:00pm (Pacific Time) on Tuesday and Thursday evenings; 8 sessions in total

• Tuesday, September 29 and Thursday, October 1
• Tuesday, October 6 and Thursday, October 8
• Tuesday, October 13; there is no class on Thursday, October 15
• Tuesday, October 20 and Thursday, October 22
• Tuesday, October 27

Program Hours, Materials and Exam
Upon registration, students will be able to download their course materials.  If you would like hardcopy (printed) materials sent to you in advance, both a print and shipping fees (TBD) apply. [Note: Shipping fee is calculated at the time of online check-out.]

Tips on Downloading the Course Handbook
Upon registering, students will have access to the downloadable course materials. Students are strongly encouraged to have pre-printed and/or pre-downloaded the materials. Do not wait until the day of the course to download as the files are quite large.

Exam
You will have 90 days from the time that you complete the course to take the proctored exam, either online or at a PearsonVue testing center. You can schedule the exam within 48 business hours after the course has been marked for completion. Review your MyAI account for the “Schedule Your Exam” messaging. Required Equipment

• A financial calculator is required. If using a financial calculator, the accepted model used in the program is the HP-12C. AI education programs that require a financial calculator are developed with HP-12C keystrokes; using this model is highly recommended.
• You must be familiar with calculator operation when the program begins. Do not enroll expecting to be taught how to use a financial calculator.

Education Credit Hours and Attendance Verifications
Those who check in late, leave early or are not in attendance during non-scheduled breaks may jeopardize receipt of credit.

Appraisal Institute: Full attendance (100%) and successful completion of the exam enables Designated Members, Candidates for Designation and Practicing Affiliates to receive 200 AI CEC points; 150 points for full attendance only (no exam).  

BREA Continuing: Basic Appraisal Procedures has been approved by the BREA (#20CP754601423) for 28-hours of BREA CEC. Full (100%) attendance required but BREA CEC (continuing education credit) does not require successful completion of the exam.

BREA Basic/Qualifying: Basic Appraisal Procedures has been approved by the BREA (#20CP754601423) for 30-hours of BREA QE/BE for those seeking initial licensing / certification.  Full (100%) attendance and successful completion of the BREA exam are required for BREA QE/BE.  

If you are seeking credit for this offering from a state outside of California, check with your state licensing board(s) directly to make sure an out-of-state offering will be accepted before registering. It is best to speak directly with a representative from your board rather than relying on information posted to the web to insure that the approvals are up to date. Note: Some states outside of California may have additional reporting requirements that the Chapter is not able to comply with.

Attendance Verification Process Effective 10/01/19
Verified attendance certificates will be available for downloading; allow 15 working days from the exam date

• Click on the specific offering that you are seeking the certificate for; it will show REGISTERED
• Scroll to the very bottom of the screen to (1) COMPLETE EVALUATION FORM and (2) RETRIEVE / PRINT CERTIFICATE
  
  

Note: Effective 10/01/19 students will be able to access their attendance certificates 24/7 through the Appraisal Institute's netFORUM association management program. The Northern California Chapter does not have direct access to certificates for programs held after this time. Any issues in retrieving certificates should be brought directly to the attention of the Appraisal Institute's Education Delivery Department at 312/335-4207 or education@appraisalinstitute.org .

Cancellations
Written cancellations received by Tuesday, September 15 are subject to a $35 cancellation fee. Cancellations received after that time but prior to noon on Tuesday, September 22, are subject to a $45 cancellation fee. No refunds for cancellations received after September 22 or for program "no shows". Cancellations can be emailed to lisa@norcal-ai.org

We reserve the right to substitute instructors, or to cancel or modify this program (adjust format) if sufficient registrations are not received by September 4 or due to other circumstances beyond our control. In the event of cancellation, tuition fees will be refunded. All other costs incurred are the registrant’s responsibility.
