    Course Description

The "Florida Appraisal Laws and Rules: Advanced" course is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing real estate appraisers in Florida specific to the nature of complaints. This course emphasizes the nuanced nature of the administrative complaint process, recognizing that while knowledge of the law comes from experience, true understanding requires applying concepts. Florida Appraisal Laws and Rules: Advanced (CE 4-Hour)

Florida Appraisal Laws and Rules: Advanced is a 4 hour continuing education course approved by the Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board. It fully meets the mandatory 3 hour Florida Law CE requirement and provides 1 extra hour of specialty CE. The course can be taken in conjunction with the Region X Appraisal Institute 3-hour Florida Laws and Rules course or as a substitute. Designed for appraisers who want practical insight—not just rules—the course uses real-world case studies to illustrate how legal requirements apply during complaint resolution and regulatory oversight.

Florida Appraisal Laws and Rules: Advanced is not just a CE course. It’s a proactive defense strategy. Built around real-world complaint scenarios and FREAB disciplinary outcomes, this course shows you:

What are your rights if a complaint is filed

How to respond within required deadlines

What to expect from the Election of Rights process

How hearings unfold — and how penalties are decided

Knowing the law isn’t enough. You need to understand how it’s applied.

If a complaint is ever filed, your first line of defense is what you learned before it happened. This course prepares you for that moment.
