    Tonia Vailas, MAI, AI-GRS

Tonia Vailas, MAI, AI-GRS, has been appraising commercial real estate in the New York City Tri-State area for 19 years. She is very active within the Long Island Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, was chapter president in 2018, and has chaired numerous committees, including Education, Seminars and Scholarship. Vailas is currently a LIAI chapter board member. She currently serves as a member of the national Finance Committee and is a third director for Region IV. In addition to overseeing the Real Estate Property Valuations unit, in her current position, Vailas oversees the Real Estate Financial Services team, which is comprised of lease auditors, lease administrators, revenue specialists and budget analysts.

Vailas enjoys personally inspecting properties with junior appraisers. During each site visit, she adds a touristy location to visit with staff. These site visits may include walks through Central Park or tours of landmarked properties, anything to make the typical site visit a little more memorable. When she’s not appraising, Vailas dabbles in amateur photography, coaches her son’s basketball team and loves watching her daughter practice her newest cheer.

    Warren Boizot, SRA, AI-RRS

Warren Boizot, SRA, AI-RRS, has been a Certified Residential Appraiser in the Denver Metro area for 24 years. He has been a Designated Member of the Appraisal Institute for nearly 10 of those years. He is very active within the Colorado Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, having recently chaired numerous committees, and currently serving as the chapter’s immediate past president. At the national level, he serves as chair of the Residential Appraiser Project Team.

Boizot enjoys appraising in downtown Denver and the surrounding suburbs, and his favorite property type is high-rise luxury condos (he has been known to ride his electric Bird scooter to inspections to save the $10 on parking)! When he’s not appraising, Boizot is a self-proclaimed fitness junkie, who moonlights by teaching indoor rowing and group fitness classes. He thrives on travel and has fond memories of his many trips to Thailand, Tokyo and Iceland. He admittedly watches and knows way too much about really bad reality television, claims Pinot Noir as his mascot, and no, he doesn’t ski!
