John Licato, PhD, Associate Professor, University of South Florida

1. John will discuss the use of generative AI which is ubiquitous. Use of AI in everyday        appraisal work can seem to be a best practice.  John will provide advice and how to safely use AI in high-regulation fields which is changing every few months. 

2. John, who is a (Associate Professor at the USF Bellini College of AI, Cybersecurity and Computing and CEO/Founder of Actualization.AI,  will  provide an accessible overview of how far we've come in the past few years. John will discusses new concepts to be aware of including: agentic AI, agent teams, and the shift from AI as a tool to AI as an active collaborator in complex analytical and decision-making workflows.

3. John will discuss practical differences between organizations that successfully adopted AI and achieved returns on investment, and those that did not. The talk will be presented at a level that does not require an advanced technical background, although minimal prior exposure to generative AI technologies (such as ChatGPT) is preferred.

UNIVERSITY SPEAKER PANEL

1. Three state of Florida University department heads will speak about the status of real estate education within the state of Florida education system. Available to speak and attending our program are Yvonne Baker, FSU, Randy Anderson, USF, and David Harrison, UCF.  We expect Yvonne Baker, Randy, and Dr. David to serve on the speaker panel to answer questions during Q & A as well as to speak with our seminar attendees during breaks, lunch and the social after the seminar.  

2. The University’ Speaker Panel’s 2nd objective will be to overview and educate the audience on the availability of advanced real estate education opportunities, classes, coursework, certification programs and degrees available at seven state universities within Florida. 

3. The University Speakers panel s 3rd objective will be to bring and introduce as many as 20 real estate majors to the Forum event. The students will be exposed to the business world and have the ability to mingle and share resumes with attendees.  We expect this special networking experiences for university students as well as attending future employers sharing and getting to know each other will opens the doors for all parties to move to the next level.
