    Program Overview:

Session 1: The Prompt Lab — Reverse Engineering Brilliance
    Crafting Powerful Prompts
Creating an effective prompt begins with clarity and specificity. A well-structured prompt clearly defines the task, includes relevant context, and avoids ambiguity, ensuring that generative AI tools produce accurate and actionable results. Additionally, the choice of language and structure can significantly impact the quality of the output; using concise, professional phrasing and including key details, such as the desired tone or format, helps align the AI's response with your expectations.  This kickoff sessions includes prompts, prompts, and more prompts!

Session 2: Behind the Algorithm — Truth, Trust, and Transparency
    Valuation and Ethical Clarity
It is about more than just prompts. What kind of an environment are we in and what kind of USPAP considerations should we have as appraisers? What about privacy, confidentiality, and disclosure? You had concerns and we listened. This goes beyond how to use artificial intelligence. The question is, "How should I use artificial intelligence?"

    AI Primer
    Back to Basics
We’ve heard from many of you that our AI on AI seminar series can feel like a lot to take in, so we’re introducing a special AI Primer designed just for those who want to start with the fundamentals. The primer will walk through the basics of artificial intelligence in plain language, with plenty of time set aside for your questions and discussion. Whether you’re curious about how artificial intelligence fits into appraisal practice or simply want a safe space to get comfortable with the concepts, this primer is the perfect place to begin.

    Session 3: Appraiser vs. Algorithm
Preserving Judgment in an AI-driven Valuation World
This session explores how generative artificial intelligence is reshaping valuation and what appraisers can do to stay indispensable. We present the latest trends, practical applications for streamlining tasks, and strategies for maintaining expert judgment in a rapidly evolving landscape. Through discussions on automation, skill set transformation, copyright challenges, and innovative adjustment techniques, the session empowers appraisers to leverage artificial intelligence as a tool—not a threat—while differentiating themselves with market insight and analytical rigor.

    Session 4: AI in Practice
Smarter Workflows, Model Worlds, and USPAP's New Guidance
This session equips appraisers with timely guidance, practical examples, and forward-looking perspectives to help them responsibly leverage AI as a competitive advantage while remaining compliant and professionally grounded. The session opens with an overview of how AI is reshaping appraisal workflows, followed by a review of key developments in AI during 2025 and what appraisers should expect in 2026. The session then explores how AI tools can support automation, efficiency, and better decision-making in daily appraisal practice, with special attention to evolving professional standards, including discussion of USPAP Advisory Opinion 41.

    Session 5: Agentic AI
    The Next Evolution of GenAI
This explores practical applications in appraisal workflows, including how to ask better questions of artificial intelligence tools, build effective data-driven processes, rethink leadership and delegation in an increasingly automated environment, and specifically, develop and manage artificial intelligence “agents.” Panelists share real-world insights on integrating artificial intelligence into market analysis, client communication, branding, and daily operations—emphasizing both the opportunities and the learning curve involved.

Session 6: Truth, Hallucination, and the Future
    Taming the Beast
The final session of Season 1 of the AI on AI webinar series highlights how artificial intelligence is rapidly evolving from simple tools into fully integrated, “agentic” systems that can execute complex, multi-step workflows. The presenters emphasize that AI is no longer experimental—it is being embedded across major platforms (including spreadsheets, email, reporting tools, and enterprise systems), signaling a shift toward automation, efficiency, and real-time decision support. A key portion of the session demonstrates how to build a custom GPT for market analysis, showing how professionals can tailor generative artificial intelligence to specific tasks and workflows. For real estate appraisers, the benefits are substantial: Artificial intelligence can streamline data collection and analysis, automate report drafting, improve consistency, and reduce time spent on repetitive tasks, allowing appraisers to focus more on judgment, market insight, and client value.

    Additional Information:

    AI on AI Disclaimer

The AI on AI seminar series is designed to explore the use of emerging technologies and their potential applications within the valuation profession. While participants will engage with generative AI tools and learn practical strategies for improving productivity and insight, it is essential to remember that all AI outputs should always be independently reviewed, verified, and applied with professional judgment.

All examples, demonstrations, and discussions presented in this series are for educational and informational purposes only and should not be interpreted as professional appraisal advice, an endorsement of specific technologies, or a substitute for due diligence under USPAP or applicable regulations.

The Appraisal Institute encourages all participants to approach AI as a decision-support tool—one that can enhance, but not replace, the appraiser’s expertise, ethical standards, and critical thinking.
