University Valuation Case Challenge
Back by popular demand! The Appraisal Institute is proud to announce the 2nd Annual University Valuation Case Challenge (UVCC), a national real estate appraisal competition held during the 2027 Appraisal Institute Annual Conference. Following rave reviews of the inaugural program, the challenge once again brings together 16 teams from leading undergraduate real estate programs to analyze a real property and present their recommendations for its highest and best use. Teams will address key considerations, including design, construction, financing, and valuation in a dynamic, real-world competition.
Each team consists of four undergraduate students and a faculty advisor. Presentations are evaluated by senior executives from leading commercial real estate firms, giving students a unique opportunity to demonstrate their expertise and connect with prominent industry employers. The strongest teams from the semi-final round will advance to the final presentations and compete for top honors.
