Acting CEO

Jim joined AI in December 2024 and also serves as the Senior Director of Operations, helping support the organization’s business units, strategic priorities, staff collaboration, and cross-organizational execution. His work has focused on improving internal alignment, strengthening operational systems, supporting cross-association efficiencies, and helping teams work more effectively across departments, regions, chapters, volunteers, and members.

Jim brings a diverse background in business management, operations, marketing, communications, consulting, and organizational growth. Prior to his role at AI, he served as a business owner and managing director within consulting and marketing agencies, working with organizations on strategy, brand development, operational planning, revenue growth, stakeholder engagement, and execution. His experience spans association management, professional services, creative industries, small business consulting, and organizational transformation.

In his role as Acting CEO, Jim is focused on strengthening internal alignment, improving operational efficiency, supporting staff and volunteer collaboration, enhancing the member experience, and advancing the Appraisal Institute’s mission to empower valuation professionals through education, credentialing, ethical standards, community, and knowledge-sharing.

A Dominican University alumnus with a background in theater, Jim brings a collaborative, creative, and people-centered approach to leadership. His blend of business, communications, and performance experience informs his ability to connect teams, clarify priorities, and move complex initiatives forward with purpose.
