Reports to:Senior Manager, Compliance and Government Relations
Location:Chicago, IL (Hybrid) or Remote
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Grade: $29.29 – $37.88 hourly
Summary of Role:
The Compliance Coordinator will provide administrative support for the compliance team. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to further develop their skills in education administration and regulatory compliance within a collaborative team environment while fostering professional growth in the field.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities, and Duties:
- Assist with state applications for education and provide approval and renewal.
- Maintain accurate course approval records, instructor and location approvals.
- Respond to inquiries from course registrants and Appraisal Institute Chapter staff regarding course approvals, pending submissions, and issued certificates.
- Support the Compliance Team by handling phone and email inquiries.
- Research state legislation and regulations relevant to certification requirements under supervision.
- Support the creation and maintenance of department standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in business administration or related fields preferred.
- Experience:
- 1-2 years of administrative or customer service experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), including Microsoft SharePoint.
- Experience with database systems is a plus but not required.
- Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytic skills and ability to convey complex information clearly.
Physical Requirements:
- Standard office environment; ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer.
Travel Requirements:
- None required for this role.
