Proposed Amendments to AI Bylaws

Members of the Appraisal Institute have been provided with the 45-Day Notice of Proposed Amendments to the Appraisal Institute Bylaws. The proposed amendments represent a significant change to the current Bylaws. WyDak Chapter members are encouraged to take a few minutes to carefully review the Proposed Amendments to the Appraisal Institute Bylaws and, if desired, provide comments before the November 1 deadline.

According to information provided by Appraisal Institute National staff:

At a Special Board Meeting occurring at least forty-five days after the date of this Notice, or at its November 12–13, 2026, meeting in Chicago, Illinois, the Appraisal Institute Board of Directors will consider proposed amendments to the Appraisal Institute Bylaws regarding:

• Amended and Restated Bylaws

The proposed amendments are expected to have a financial impact resulting in a minimum of approximately $300,000 in annual savings, including reductions in travel and meeting expenses associated with Board of Directors meetings, reductions in committee-related expenses, and other savings, partially offset by meeting expenses associated with the proposed new regional council.

Members who have comments or questions regarding the proposed Bylaw amendments are encouraged to contact their elected Directors and/or submit comments by email to 45daynotice@appraisalinstitute.org.

Comments received on or before November 1, 2026, will be compiled and distributed to the Board of Directors.
