Course Description
This required 7-hour continuing education course, copyrighted by The Appraisal Foundation, focuses on USPAP requirements for ethical behavior and competent performance by appraisers. The course will help you gain competency in USPAP, and it will help those subject to state licensing or certification and continuing education requirements imposed by professional organizations, client groups, or employers gain competency as well.

- 2026-27 7-Hour National USPAP Continuing Education Course Student Manual
- USPAP 2024 which includes Standards 1-10
- 2026 Guidance and Reference Manual (GRM) which provides examples showing the applicability of standards in specific situations and offers advice from the ASB for resolving appraisal issues and problems. It also contains the Reference Index which is a highly useful tool that helps appraisers quickly find answers to USPAP-related questions.

Classroom: All students must possess their own copies of the

- USPAP Student Manual
- Guidance and Reference Manual (GRM)

Q. If students already own the 2024 USPAP Standards document, do they need to repurchase?
A. No, however, they must purchase the new Student Manual and 2026 GRM.

Livestream and Interactive Participation Requirements:
To participate and receive continuing education credit, students must meet the following requirements:
- Technology: A reliable internet connection, a computer or tablet with a functioning webcam, speakers, and microphone.
- Webcam: Must be on and VISIBLE at all times. Adjust privacy settings to allow Zoom access. Lenovo laptop users may need the Lenovo Vantage App for webcam functionality.
- Zoom: No paid Zoom account is needed, but students must allow the ZOOM app to run on their computer when joining the seminar.
- Interactive Platform: The seminar is live and interactive; the instructor and students must be able to see and interact with one another.
- Environment: Students must participate from a distraction-free location to ensure full attention and engagement.
- Identity Verification: Email a copy of your driver's license (with private information concealed except for your full name and photo) to the Chapter office @ myra.pitts@appraisalinstitute.org after registration and before the seminar begins.
