UAD 3.6 policy exception: What you need to know
The Nov. 2, 2026 Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) 3.6 and Forms Redesign mandate is approaching. While many industry stakeholders will adopt UAD 3.6 prior to the mandate, others may need more time.
Fannie Mae is offering a temporary UAD 3.6 policy exception for lenders that need additional time to complete their transition. Lenders that request an exception may continue submitting UAD 2.6 appraisal reports to the Uniform Collateral Data Portal® (UCDP®) through May 19, 2027, while continuing to actively adopt UAD 3.6.
