Challenge or Re-Exam

Individuals may choose to challenge an exam or "test out." In order to register, please search education by clicking the Challenge format. All examinations that can be challenged will appear. Click "Register" button to begin. Once registered, you will have a year in which to take the exam.

From time-to-time, an individual may not successfully complete the examination and will need to re-take. If this occurs, sign in to your account and click "Education and Events" on the right side navigation bar. Locate the course and click "View." If you have originally taken the course within a year, you will see the "Purchase Re-Exam" button to register. You will have two chances within that year to complete the exam.

Residential Equivalency Examination

Residential Candidates for Designation that qualify to take this exam may access this by going to their Candidate Checklist from their AI account. Those that qualify will see this as a requirement on their checklist and may register directly from their checklist.

AI Excel Diagnostic Examination

Those registering for MAI designation education must pass the diagnostic test one time only to be allowed to register for all of the MAI designation courses listed above.  Note that the test must be submitted 7 days prior to the registration deadline.  Registration deadlines for these courses are set at 14 days prior to the start date.
