Holiday Dinner and Installation
Thursday, December 10th
On December 10th, the chapter will hold its 4Q Meeting and Installation of 2027 Officers at Tarrant's West in Henrico. This will be a wonderful opportunity to close out the year together, recognize our incoming leadership, present chapter awards, and look forward to 2027. Join us in person for this special event.
Women in Agricultural Appraising Webinar
On Wednesday, October 7th, the Chapter sponsored a one-hour webinar on women in agricultural appraising.
Certified General Appraiser Rebecca Stone, 2026 ASFMRA President Elect, presented as well as Lana Chiappetta, MAI, AI-GRS, Acting Chief Appraiser with the National Forest System. This event was held as part of the WIN (Women's Initiative Network) speaker series.

Congratulations to Heather Placer Mull, MAI, SRA, on being elected Vice Chair of the Virginia Real Estate Appraisal Board at their June Q2 meeting.
A past VCCAI President, Heather is the owner of Placer Realty Advisors, a full-service commercial appraisal and consulting firm in the Richmond, VA area. She is a past member of the National Appraisal Institute Board of Directors. She is active in the Carolina Virginias chapter of the ASFMRA, serving as their University Outreach chair. She is also a commercial associate broker with SRFM in Richmond, VA and adjunct professor of Real Estate at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Valuation of Conservation Easements
