The first step in your journey is to create your personal interactive prerequisite checklist.

Although membership is not required to complete prerequisites, we encourage you to join AI as a Associate Member to take advantage of up to a 30% discount on educational offerings and additional benefits.

Eligibility for the Residential Review Candidate for Designation Program

Step 1. Prerequisites

Be a Certified Real Property Appraiser (or equivalent)
Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher (if not a certified real property appraiser)
Provide proof of Standards course (i.e., USPAP, IVS)
Provide proof of Fair Housing course
Complete AI Business Practices and Ethics
Take and pass Advanced Residential Applications and Case Studies/Part 1
Pass exam for Review Case Studies – Residential
Pass exam for Review Theory – Residential

Once you’ve met these prerequisites, you’re ready to enter the Residential Review Candidate for Designation program.

Pass the Residential Review Comprehensive Exam.
